Marcus Brutus
(Bargue copy #3)

To Bargue arm
Marcus Brutus (Bargue)

This drawing is an exact copy of a piece by Charles Bargue, a 19th century French master,
designed to be used as an exercise in copying techniques by his own art students. The idea of
copying is to develop an eye for absolute accuracy, to be later applied to drawing from life.
Drawn at the Florence Academy of Art, '03.

Pencil on paper, 12" x 10".

Original drawing available, inquire for information.

Not available in print.

The drawing is not framed and would be shipped in a secure package to be framed at a later time.
As always, I recommend this be done by a professional framer using only
conservation techniques and materials.
